3 Reasons Why I Don’t Write Listicles

Chances are, you’ve read a lot of listicles on the internet.

Writers will clickbait you with a great headline and reel you in with an eye-catching thumbnail. And before you know it, you’re doing a quiz to discover what type of kitchen appliance matches your personality.

That’s why I want to share three reasons why I refuse to write listicles. Hopefully, this article will inspire you to avoid them, as well.

1) Listicles Are Often Filled With Disappointments

Writers love to include false promises by saying readers will be shocked by a specific point. But most of the time, listicles are more underwhelming than a Black Friday sale at the Dollar Store.

2) Most People Don’t Read Entire Listicles Anyway

Are you waiting for my third point to see if you feel shocked? Since you clicked this article in the first place, your subconscious is desperately begging you to stay. So, read until the end.
