In these times of global pandemics and economic downturns, anxiety is understandably at an all-time high. Because when you’re at home, with little social contact with the outside world, it’s incredibly easy for negative thoughts to take control of your mind.

But I’ve discovered that the best way to improve your mental health is by accepting the things you can’t control and focusing solely on what you can. In the words of the Roman emperor, Marcus Aurelius:

“You have power over your mind — not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.”

So if you’re like my past-self and are struggling to get rid of anxiety, there is a solution. All you need to do is implement the following habits & watch your anxiety fade away.

1. Become Aware Of Your Thoughts.

I’ve found that the best way to eliminate anxiety is by understanding its triggers, so it’s easier to prevent it from affecting you in the future. Each morning, I’ll write down how I feel in a journal and anything else that’s going through my mind.
