Adding Value To The Conversation | MattLife 038

Reverse engineer other people’s problems to add value to each relationship…

Value. Value. Value.

It’s something I can’t give enough of. No matter what situation I’m in, it’s always great to give the other party 51% of the value within a deal. I want them to get more out of it than what I do (cheers GV for the life advice).

Gary said this:

‘“People are chasing cash, not happiness. When you chase money, you’re going to lose. You’re just going to. Even if you get the money, you’re not going to be happy.”

It’s true. And it always shall be.

Think about it.

If you are able to consistently create value for other people, you will be perceived a lot more positively.

It’s why I love to overdeliver on expectations when doing work for clients.

It’s why I have such strong relationships with people around the world.

Because I’m able to provide the majority of the value in a transaction, it potentially gives me future opportunities with each person I interact with.

If you are constantly delivering great results for your clients, they will want to work with you for a longer period of time.

If you are constantly interacting with your friends & family, those relationships will be a lot more fruitful and your support network will be stronger in times of need. You get the idea.

But there’s no point assuming what people want.

You have to ask how you can help them, and provide value in a meaningful way. Simple.
