An Open Letter To The Airline That Lost My Suitcase
This game of hide & seek isn’t fun
Hello,
My luggage has gone missing. All of my valuable possessions have vanished. And due to widespread travel delays and chaos, I was forced to purchase a new wardrobe of clothes while on vacation. Ugh.
Do you know how it feels to walk around Costa Rica in only a sweater and jeans? It’s dreadful. The weather is hot and humid. I was drenched in sweat. And thanks to you, I had to spend twelve hours of my valuable vacation time in the mall trying on new clothes.
To say the situation is dire is an understatement.
Anyone who hasn’t been living under a rock has heard about the aviation industry’s severe delays, flight cancellations, and missing luggage. Heck, American Airlines even lost a 12-year-old child the other day, per Business Insider.
Can you hire more baggage handlers and airport staff to improve the situation? Yes. Will you? Probably not. Because in your eyes, shareholder profits are more important. So is using public bailout money to give bonuses to corporate executives. Quoting an article published by CNBC:
