Be The Type Of Person Who Shows Kindness To Strangers

Small acts of kindness can have a big impact on other people.

It took me a long time to realize that being kind to strangers can have an incredibly positive impact on my life. Don’t get me wrong; I was never an asshole to people I’d never met. But for a while, I didn’t really think of strangers as anything more than NPCs in a video game.

But one day, my mindset changed forever. A stranger saved my life. They pulled me onto the sidewalk just as I began crossing the street. One second later, a truck came speeding around the corner.

Of course, that stranger who saved my life may have done it for selfish reasons. After all, they probably didn’t want to waste their day filing a witness report of a horrific accident on the streets of Calgary.

From that day onwards, I began to treat everyone with an incredible amount of kindness and respect. Because the truth is that small actions can make a big difference in other people’s lives.

Let me explain. Something you do could change the way a stranger sees and interacts with the world. Think of it as a ripple effect. You show kindness to one person, and they pass it on. And before you know it, the world is a better place because of one positive interaction you had with a…
