Going viral is easier than you think
Every day, my boss says I’m special. He also mentions I have a natural talent for telling people what to do because of my giant ego. As long as I’m in charge, that’s the only thing that matters.
Of course, my boss is correct. I recently received one million views on LinkedIn after writing a post about how to succeed as an employee.
Here are several tips I recommended in my viral post:
1) Suck Up To Your Employer And Do Everything They Say
Too many people overthink workplace politics. If you’re friends with the boss, you have a much higher chance of getting a pay rise.
How do I know? Personal experience.
I sucked up to my boss for five years and got him a coffee at Starbucks for $6.50 each morning. Sure, I was only getting paid $5 an hour, so I was technically losing money (at first). However, I made up for any losses by sneaking onto my boss’s computer when he wasn’t looking and giving myself a tenfold pay raise.
Yay.
