When I was a little boy, I had a dream of becoming a successful writer. I’d often read books, come up with loads of short stories, and do many other things that helped me enjoy the beautiful art of writing.
For a long time, it was just a dream. The chances of it becoming a reality were tiny. Why? Because when you grow up on the poverty line in a small town, it’s rare for anything like that to come true.
Despite many people telling me that becoming a writer was completely unrealistic, I didn’t give up. Instead, I tried my best to implement actions that increased my dream’s probability of coming true. Like Darren Hardy wrote in his book, The Compound Effect:
