You want to be in control of your actions, and take command of each waking second of the day.

But you’re not.

You struggle with saying no.

You’re afraid of hurting the emotions of others.

You want to prioritize what matters, and live a fulfilled life which is not at the mercy of other people. Mark Twain said it best:

“Never allow someone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option.”

So what can you do?

Start by prioritizing your happiness before choosing to help other people.

Because if you can’t create happiness within your own life, it will be almost impossible to do the same for others.
