How To Stop Comparing Yourself To Others

You're just making your life harder than it has to be.

How often do you judge yourself?

It’s something we all do but are often too afraid to admit. Each day, you compare yourself to other people wishing you could live their life. Or perhaps you blame yourself for being socially awkward after attempting to speak to your crush.

Improving your life won’t happen by immediately switching places with the rich & famous. Instead, you have to make gradual improvements to better your life every single day. Jordan Peterson said it best:

“Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today.”

I think he’s right. Having the self-awareness to figure out how to improve your life stops you from judging yourself and comparing your life to millions of other people.

You can eliminate judgment from your mind and completely transform your perspective on life.

Catch your negative thoughts.

Realize that life won’t make you happy each day, but try and be conscious of the moments when you’re judging yourself in a negative light. That’s an excellent place to start.
