I can vouch for this. I’ve had moments where I’ve had panic attacks in public because I was worried about being unable to make rent. That was about a year ago.

Now were in the middle of a pandemic and a recession. Yet I’m happy. I have peace of mind. Why? Because I have a large emergency fund that can keep me going until January. Maybe feb if I stretch it out.

Money can’t buy you happiness. But poverty can’t buy you anything.
