I Can’t Afford A Private Jet Anymore. The Cost Of Living Is Too High

Rising inflation is hurting everyone

A few days ago, I met my friend in the lobby of a five-star hotel. He sobbed as he told me that owning a private jet is unaffordable.

“The cost of jet fuel is up 178% from a year ago,” he complained. “If inflation keeps increasing, I’ll have no choice but to sell the plane and fly first-class on a commercial airline. Eww.”

As a fellow private jet owner, I felt his pain. The rising cost of living has made it difficult to afford a luxury lifestyle. Gone are the days when I could fly from California to Florida for less than $40,000.

It’s a sad story.

Society Should Be More Sympathetic To Rich People

We’re feeling the pain of inflation, as well.

High demand combined with supply chain chaos has sent the price of Caviar skyrocketing. And with gas prices constantly going up, it’s become more expensive to drive my Ferrari from one end of Miami Beach to the other.

On top of that, my employees are demanding higher wages to combat the rising cost of living. Sure, I’ll accept their request and increase wages to $18 an hour. But when I…
