I’m No Longer Ashamed Of My Eating Habits
And here’s why you shouldn’t feel guilty either.
Most people think that having a healthy diet is essential to living a happy life. After all, the internet has no shortage of fitness “experts” telling you to eat more vegetables, and avoid sugary foods like the plague.
And while they’re correct, there’s a deeper truth about our eating habits that many of us miss:
Shaming other people for their diet is not going to make them healthy.
As a self-confessed cookie lover, I’ve received my fair share of criticism about what I eat. But something that most people fail to consider is the underlying reason behind my love of sugary foods.
Like most people around the world, I’m under a mandatory lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Although it’s easy to feel anxious, I’ve found that eating a few cookies helps to calm my nerves, so I can focus on other things in life that matter to me.
Similarly, I’m trying to maintain my sanity by having video calls with friends every weekend. During these conversations, eating a slice of pizza or having a drink is a social experience that we can all share together, despite not being in the same room.
