I’ve been in the music industry for several years and I can wholeheartedly agree with what he said.
So many artists place the creative first — without giving a second thought as to how they will actually market themselves. It’s a shame. As there’s a lot of unnoticed talent out there.
If musicians treated their artistic brand as a business, and looked for ways to generate revenue and attention, most people would be a lot more successful.
