Massive fan of Hawking (and his work). Loved reading this!

One of the key contributions of Hawking’s thesis is the concept of the cosmic event horizon, which is a boundary around a black hole beyond which light and other matter cannot escape. Hawking showed that this concept could also be applied to the universe as a whole and that the cosmic event horizon could be used to define the boundary of an expanding universe.
