Thanks for the shoutout!

I became a Friend of Medium solely to support other writers. It's my understanding that when I read a story, the payout is slightly higher as a Friend compared to a typical member.

Regarding what you said about people assuring their superiority, I think it's disgusting behavior. I'd also recommend not publishing in such publications that encourage/put up with people acting that way.

There are thousands of fantastic publications on Medium. Don't let the behavior of one group of people/editors make you feel like everyone acts that way. It's not the case.
