There’s a parable I love which defines this perfectly. A man wants to take a certain road to a destination. But when he asks everyone in the village, it doesn’t exist. They tell him to take an alternative route… but he refuses. And so he becomes stuck in the village forever.

Sometimes we have to accept that life will not always pan out how we expect to. There’s always more than one path.
